William Paul Clay Sr. was born in Ypsilanti in 1916, married Abbie (Petties) Brown. Their son,  was William Clay Jr., former memorable Ypsilanti City council member. In the interview Mr. Clay and Professor Marshall discuss the rich and long history of Ypsilanti’s Prince Hall Masonic Lodge, of which Mr. Clay’s father, Paul Clay, was a leading member.
